The project “Ethereal Materials” explores the meaning of “being there” in contemporary performance within digital realms. It encompasses a translation and adaptation of a 16th-century Japanese text into a VR installation, documenting performance practices, and compiling an annotated bibliography. The aim is to investigate the evolving identity of performances in virtual spaces.
